Final Project

C4T Quantum Progress

This C4T assignment was for the Quantum Progress. This is a science teacher's blog. He is heavily
involved in the science and physics field. I really enjoyed reading this blog post. It excites me to see science used in a way that children can relate too.

So many students are tired of seeing science used in the same old traditional ways. I am excited and overwhelmed that someone has taken the time to outline and develop a better way to challenge students!I really enjoyed the posts and ideas this semester. I can tell that you really enjoy your job,and also science and its related fields.I encouraged the writer of this blog to keep up the good work and continue to do research! You never know who you will inspire in the next generation.

Blog # 13

This blog post will be a quick overview of ASSESS and also ALEX. These are two education plans that help many students around the world to prosper in life.ACCESS is a distance learning program that is available to all high school student in Alabama. This program was launched on November 1 ,2004.

Its mission is to a structure that delivers quality learning to all its students. There are specific directions for teachers and also counselors who would like to become an ACCESS instructor. This information can be found on the ACCESS learning homepage under the tab teacher information. This is very informative information.

ACCESS is also a helpful project started by the Alabama Department of Education to help students. It is a mixture of interactive games, web support and also lesson plans to help teachers. This is a quickly evolving work. Both of these programs help equip and challenge students and teachers to become better educators and learners. I think both of these website help prepare teachers who are new to the classroom become better experienced and equipped.I really learned new information from this assignment.

C4K Assignment

This is an over view for the C4K assignments #7,8,9,10.One of my C4K assignments were for Mrs. Yollis’ class.I really enjoyed this classroom blog. I learned much different facts from this classroom. The students seemed very happy and excited about learning. I also enjoyed the fact that the teacher is a lifelong learner.
My next C4K assignments was a third grade student named Jaden. She was very mature for her age. I do not remeber being that well rounded when I was her age.

Mr. Clung was also one of the assignments for the C4K section. I really enjoyed his blog and classroom stucture. I learned many different facts and information. Lastly, I had the opportunity of reaging Conner and Coleman's blog. I enjoyed there videos and seeing there love of the sport for square. Over all this was a great semester of C4k assignments. Each C4K assignment had very detailed instructions and specifications for its assignment. Some of them were videos and others were simple paragraph. Whether it was a 2 minute video or you tube video. I really enjoyed the assignment.

Final Project Progress

My final project is still in the making but it is in the process of becoming something great. As the semester comes to an end and the curtains close, I am thankful that I have been able to learn so many new things that I can take into my future classroom.

Blog #12

On a scale of 1 - 10 rate yourself and tell what you have learned so far in EDM 310.
Give details, pictures, websites, and any other descriptive things that can add to your argument.

Lastly, write a letter to Dr. Strange to thank him for the time and effort he puts into his students. Do not be afraid to use first hand or personal testimonials!

Blog # 11

The kids in Ms Cassidy class are very well rounded. They maintain and keep up their own personal blogs. I love how Ms.Cassidy challenges them to use smart boards but also computers and wikis. She not only teaches her students academic skills but also life skills and also communication skills. She influences them to talk to one another and treat each other fairly.

She stated that they are Little Kids with Big potential. Ms. Casssidy is really preparing her students for the future. In order to teach technology effectively you must be willing to learn and grow with your children as they learn. I am blown away at their communication skills and also there reading skills.

I also like w she introduces her students to creating videos at a young age. I really didn’t learn about videos until I reached college. This is really teaching them responsibility and helps them grow and mature into great students.

As I watched the Skype video I noticed how enthused the students in the back of Dr. Strange classroom seemed. I think it is such a pleasure to receive information from people who have already walked in the path that you desire to travel.
Overall Ms. Cassidy is doing a wonderful job at teaching her students technology and proper use of the internet. They are very smart children that will grow up to be prosperous adults.

Blog # 10

I really enjoyed this blog post and can relate to your problems inside the classroom. I believe that the cause of this problem is lack of individuality and creativity. It is so hard to pay attention and listen in a three hour class. No one can retain that much information in one setting. Its so important to incorporate new ways of teaching techniques. For so long we have been taught not to color outside the lines on a coloring sheet, and make sure to raise your hands. We have revolutionized each classroom to fit one persons' liking. Hopefully sometime soon we will all wake up and see the need for improvement inside the classroom.

Blog # 9

I really enjoyed this post. I can tell that Mr. McClung is a man of wisdom and also a life-long learner. He is also a great listener and know the importance of taking the time to teach his students life lessons. I appreciate this blog assignment. Even though his teaching career just started in 2009 he is very experienced and hungry to learn more. It amazes me to see the influence one person can make, just by being a positive person and keeping a positive mindset. It is very refreshing to see a teacher that enjoys his job, and is not limited to what he sees in his surroundings.Keep up the good work!

Mr. MClung's Special Assignment

Mr. McClung is an 8th grade teacher at Woodland Jr. High School located in Fayetteville Arkansas. He teaches social studies, history, computer application, and he is also a cross country coach. All of his information is located on his blog under the tab Mr. McClung. I really enjoyed reading Mr. McClung’s blog and was challenged in my way of teaching. I could tell that he draws his students in by introducing them to different themes and cultures that they would like to know about.

I really enjoyed his classroom rules. They are very challenging and fun. They give the students a chance to communicate their viewpoint and also communicate with their classmates. I also think that they show that he really enjoys his job and the students. The first thing everyone needs is positive energy. I believe this is so true. It is important for all negative ways and mindset be released inside a classroom. A classroom is a place of creativity so energy is always needed while creating new minds and thoughts.

His homework policies are very simple. He expects his students to turn their homework in on time at the end of class. If the students fail to do so, they will receive a loss of a letter grade. For example, one day late equals a High B instead of an A.
His classroom blog is said to be a vehicle that drives majority of the technology in the classroom. It is used as a daily newsletter that keeps parents, students and teachers informed about the current events inside the classroom. I think this is a great way to use technology. Not only is the student challenged but also the teacher and parents. Every person has their own specific role in helping the child prosper.

I reviewed the websites Convinceme .com and also Guysread.com. These are great and challenging websites that allow students to venture outside the classroom walls to become challenged in great ways. I think that these websites made Mr.McClung’s list because of his teaching method. He loves things that are positive and help students to become better learners. Both of these websites help students to learn on their own level.

Mr.McClung has tabs on his blog. These tabs make moving to and from different sites very easy and smooth. It also helps the organization of the website. He keeps his blog very simple but still fun and fool proof. This blog is different from many of the other blogs in its easiness to read. Many of the other blogs were very hard to maneuver through. I found this blog very organized and stable. It is also up to date with its material. Overall I really enjoyed his blog and I learned the importance of maintain a positive attitude and mindset.
